Bikepacking the Badger Divide

Few pics from last weekend's 4-day offroad bikepacking trip from Inverness to Glasgow, following the Badger Divide route... Weather was a mixed bag, but the route is epic - highly recommended 👌

We did it on gravel bikes, which were perfect for the tracks and trails that make up this route. Nothing too technical that demands suspension, although a hard tail mountain bike would also be a good choice.

We did it over 4 days, as follows:
▪️Day 1 - 62km, Inverness to Fort Augustus
▪️Day 2 - 103km, Fort Augustus to Bridge of Gaur
▪️Day 3 - 108km, Bridge of Gaur to Callander
▪️Day 4 - 62km, Bridge of Gaur to Milngavie.

Technically the Badger Divide starts/finishes in Glasgow City centre, but Monday's Scotrail train strike meant finishing a few miles short at Milngavie to get a train back to Edinburgh. To be honest, city centre riding doesn't hold much appeal so Milngavie was a good place to end!

4 days was a good amount of time to enjoy the route (and allow time on the first and last days to catch trains to Inverness / from Glasgow), but you could beast yourself and do it over 2 days if that's your bag!

We did take a bit of footage along the way, so will get round to editing and posting a short video in the next few days!
